GMP B2 Audit was passed by Sensient Strasbourg
STRASBOURG, FRANCE – October 15, 2008 – The Sensient facility in Strasbourg, France passed the annual GMP B2 audit by LRQA France. The Strasbourg plant makes a complete range of yeast products and extractives.
The scope of GMP B2 audit is to enhance the quality assurance for the animal feed sector. In the GMP+ Certification Scheme Animal Feed is required that the quality system must encompass the preceding production links and the trade in feed materials. This quality system, based on the HACCP-principles, must pro-vide a safety guarantee of feed materials regarding animal feed.
This standard can be applied by companies who:
- produce/process feed materials
- manufacture trade feed materials or other feeding stuff
- store and/or tranship feed materials or other feeding stuffs
The standard is not intended for production of feed additives. By complying with this standard and when certified, one guarantees the quality and safety of feed materials that are used to produce animal feeds under GMP+ conditions. The minimum requirements for assuring the quality of the feed materials are met when a company is certified for this standard by an independent certification body that is accepted by the Product Board Animal Feed.
